Replaced in 1959 by a steel skeleton tower standing right next to it. At the same time as the decommission, its lantern room was also removed leaving it looking like it looks in the picture above. I would say that this was one of the most remote lightstations that we have visited in Canada. The lighthouse stands on Quinte Island at the eastern end of Route 13. It is about 20 or so miles from Milford.
Directions: From Milford, follow Route 10 south to Route 13. Make a right onto Route 13 and follow it about 13 miles to the end. Route 13 will be called Long Point Road.
