From what I have been reading, this appears to be Australia's first lighthouse. There has been a marker at this point since 1791 and a lighthouse as early as 1818. The lighthouse that was built in 1818 began to deteriorate and had to be replaced. By 1883, the new lighthouse was finished which is the one that stands today.
Directions: The lighthouse sits at the intersection of Old South Head and Macquarie Road near Lighthouse Reserve Park.
