The lighthouse was decommissioned in 1913, and it certainly does show. This picture was taken in 1974 by Paul E. Petosky and the lighthouse for the most part looks the same. But a group of people, including the owner have started to try and raise money to restore the lighthouse.

Directions: The lighthouse sits off shore on Grand Island. There are several tours that offer cruises past the lighthouse. The grounds of the lighthouse are private property.
