History of the Barber's Point Lighthouse

The first lightstation at this point was put in place in 1888. The current tower in the photo was constructed in 1933 and stands seventy-one feet tall. It did at one time house a lantern room before it was removed.

Directions: From H1 west to the end, and then follow Route 95 south into the James Campbell Industrial Park. Route 95 ends at Olai Street. Make a right onto Olai Street and follow it to the end. This will put you at Barbers Point Beach Park. The lighthouse is on the grounds.
